突如発生する自然災害「怪異」が存在し、怪異を退治することを主たる業務とする魔法少女が職業として認識された世界。就職活動中の大学生、桜木カナは、何社も面接を受けていたが、いずれも失敗していた。そんな中、たまたま出会った越谷仁美に導かれ、ベンチャー企業である株式会社マジルミエに魔法少女として就職することになる。カナは、驚異的な記憶力を武器に、魔法少女として仕事をしていく。
