魔術士オーフェン もぐりの金貸しオーフェンは、キエサルヒマ大陸でも有名な牙の塔出身の黒魔術士。彼には、天才魔術士と謳われ姉と慕っていたアザリー・ケットシーという女性がいたが、5年前に魔法の実験に失敗し化け物に変わり果て姿を消してしまった。彼女をつかまえて元に戻すため、オーフェンはトトカンタで知り合ったクリーオウ・エバーラスティンやマジク・リン達と旅を続ける。 魔術士オーフェンRevenge アザリーの一件をひとまず解決し、オーフェンはクリーオウ、マジクと再び旅を続けていた。大陸随一の温泉街セーオンで身体を休めようとした一行だが、なぜか魔術士を非常に恐れるボナパルトファミリーに宿泊を妨害される。その後、ボナパルトファミリーのインチキ温泉による商売を暴いたオーフェン達の前に王立治安騎士団から派遣されたと言うリコリス・ニールセンが現れる。
