Overview
The students of four marine high schools, including Yokosuka Girls, participate in an operation to prevent pirates manning a heavily-armed seafort from making its way to Japan. During this time, Mashiro struggles with an important decision: to become the captain of a ship or stay with the Harekaze and her friends.

幼い頃、岬からブルーマーメイドの当時の旗艦・大和を見た岬明乃と彼女の幼馴染の知名もえかは、お互いブルーマーメイドになろうと誓いを立てる。時は流れ、9年後。明乃は神奈川県横須賀市にあるブルーマーメイドを養成する横須賀女子海洋学校に入学、そこでもえかと再会する。その後のクラス分けで、明乃は晴風の艦長に、もえかは武蔵の艦長にそれぞれ任命される。 晴風に乗艦した明乃は海洋実習に参加すべく、艦を出港させる。だが、彼女たちを待ち受けていたのは明るく楽しい学校生活ではなく、さまざまな出来事に翻弄される日々であった。
