Synopsis 日本語

現代の日本。依頼された標的を完全に仕留め、正体に繋がる痕跡は残さないため、裏社会でもかろうじて「ファブル」（寓話の意）というあだ名のみ知られる凄腕の殺し屋がいた。ある日のこと、その青年は、殺し屋組織の長で、育ての親でもあるボスに呼び出される。ボスは最近は動きすぎたとして「1年間大阪に移住し、その間は誰も殺さず一般人として平和に暮らせ」と指示し、彼に「佐藤明（アキラ）」という偽名を与える。アキラは、同じくボスに育てられた仕事のパートナーで、アキラの妹という設定の偽名「佐藤洋子」と共に、大阪は太平市へと向かう。こうして、アキラは組織と古くから付き合いのある小規模暴力団「真黒（まぐろ）組」の庇護の下、それまでの殺し屋としての人生や習性から、一般人としてはチグハグな態度を見せながら、新たな生活を始める。
