Overview

Synopsis 日本語
物語は少年ラキの家族を殺した妖魔をクレアが斬殺するエピソードから始まる。クレアは妖魔に深く係わった者として村を追放されたラキと道程を共にするようになり、任務をこなす日々の中で2人の間に絆が芽生えていく様子が描かれる。次にクレアの過去のエピソードが描かれ、クレアの目的が少女時代の恩人であるクレイモア・テレサを殺した覚醒者プリシラの打倒である事が明らかになる。こうして、序盤は主にクレアとテレサに焦点をあて、ストーリーの骨子となるクレアの生きる目的や、作中の世界の背景などが明かされていく。 序盤で物語の核心や舞台背景が明らかになると、中盤以降、自らを人外の存在に変えた「組織」への復讐を目論むクレイモア・ミリアや、大陸の覇権を争う強大な覚醒者「深淵の者」たちの登場により物語は広がりを見せる。さらに作中の主な舞台となる大陸が実はほかの大陸で行われている戦争に用いる生物兵器（=クレイモア、覚醒者）の実験場であると言う事実が明らかとなり、「組織」に兵器開発の研究者としての視点が加わると共に「組織」と敵対する勢力の工作員の思惑などが絡み、物語は複雑な展開を見せていく。
