Overview

A long time ago, Zeus, the great god, created a three–tier hierarchy of angels, top, middle and lower, although they were supposed to be equal. Also, Zeus appointed 6 angels as Saint Beasts who govern the animals of Earth. They were: Go, the seiyu; Shin, the genbu; Rei, the suzaku; Guy, the byakko; Yuda, the kirin; and Ruka, the hooh. However, Kira, the shooting star, and Maya, the fuga, didn’t attend the selection tests and left for the Earth. The six angels fulfilled their tasks faithfully. Synopsis 日本語

遥かいにしえ、天界には神と神に従う天使たちがいた。大神ゼウスは特に優れた能力を持ったユダ・ルカ・ゴウ・シン・レイ・ガイの六名の天使たちにそれぞれ六体の聖獣(鳳凰・麒麟・青龍・朱雀・玄武・白虎)の二つ名を与え、地上の動物たちを統べる者として彼らを「六聖獣」に任命した。しかし度重なる大神の傲慢で非情な命令に六聖獣は疑念を抱き始め、やがて彼らは天界に反乱を起こす事となった。激しい戦いの末ユダとルカは神に敗れて地獄界へ落とされ、ゴウ達四名の天使も大神の側に仕えし女神と天使ミカエルによって石に変えられ地上（人間界）へ封印されてしまう。時は流れて数百年後、天界の平穏に飽いたゼウスは女神ヘラに一時の支配を任せ永の眠りに入る。地獄界の王となっていたユダとルカは弱まった封印を破り地上へ向かい、時を同じくして地上に封印されていたゴウ達四聖獣も天使サキに封印を解かれ復活する。
