Overview
During a summer camp, 15 children, 8 males and 7 females, find a grotto by the sea. Deep within they discover working computers and some electronic equipment, and later the owner, a man called Kokopelli. Kokopelli claimed to be a programmer working on a brand new game, in which a large robot has to defend the Earth against alien invasions. He persuades the children to test the game and sign a contract. All but one of them signs, barely a moment later they mysteriously awaken on the shore believing what happened was just a dream. 夏休みに自然学校に参加した少年少女15人は、海岸沿いの洞窟でココペリと名乗る謎の男に出会う。子供たちは「自分の作ったゲームをしないか」とココペリに誘われる。ゲームの内容は、「子供たちが無敵の巨大ロボットを操縦し、地球を襲う巨大な敵を倒して地球を守る」というもの。兄のウシロに止められたカナを除く14人は、ただのコンピュータゲームだと思い、ココペリと契約を結ぶ。その後、黒い巨大なロボットと敵が出現し、コエムシと名乗る口の悪いマスコットも現れる。ロボットの中のコックピットに転送された子供たち15人の前には、ココペリとコエムシが待っていた。これが黒いロボット・ジアースの最初の戦いであった。戦闘を重ねるにつれ、子供たちはゲームの真の意味を目の当たりにすることになる。
