Overview

When Kenichi Kokuhou was a small boy, he was lost in the mountains and never found. However, unknown to anyone, Kenichi has been brought up by his foster father in the wild. When Kenichi becomes 15 years old, his foster father tells him the truth about his background. As he finds out, Kenichi decides to go to a civilized society where his parents live. Everything Kenichi experiences in the town is a series of surprise and wonder. His family is delighted to see their son alive, but shocked at the fact that he has become wild and different from other children. And now, his new life is about to begin. His wild attitude and physical toughness cause various problems in the town. Kenichi has his own way to handle things, but it is too different for the most people to understand what he is up to. Can he get used to life in the town?

Synopsis 日本語

国宝憲一は幼い頃、父親の憲吉の不注意から川に流され、山で行方不明になってしまう。しかし、山に住む玄米茶に拾われた憲一は野生児としてたくましく成長する。そして本当の家族と街への憧れから憲一は下山し、程なく本当の家族と再会する。しかし憲一には都会の知識や常識がまるでなく、本人の人間離れした身体能力もあいまって、普通ではないトラブルに満ちた日常が繰り広げられるのであった。舞台は東京都に存在するとされる架空の市、「是羽市」（これわし）。第一部の中学生編では「是羽市立第二中学校（是羽二中）」、それ以降は「是羽市立第二高等学校」が主な舞台である。
