Overview

A 16-year-old boy named Shurato and his friend Gai happen to be drawn into a gigantic ball of light while competing in the final match of a martial arts tournament. When they regain their senses, they find themselves transferred to a mystic heavenly sphere with a divine atmosphere. It's soon discovered that Shurato used to be the governing king of this world and that he has only been brought to his original state. Shurato is shocked as Gai suddenly turns hostile. 格闘好きで能天気で気分屋な熱血少年のシュラト（日高秋亜人）と、大人しく慈愛に溢れた性格のガイ（黒木凱）。二人は性格はまったく異なっていたが、親友同士であった。だが、2人は空手の試合中、大きな光に包まれた。ひとり目を覚ましたシュラトは、調和神ヴィシュヌから、ここは人間界とは異なる世界「天空界」であり、自分はもともと天空界の住人で1万年以上も前の大戦で命を落とした八部衆の一人「修羅王」であったと聞かされる。だが、その直後、デーヴァ神軍の雷帝インドラが突如反乱を起こし、ヴィシュヌを石に変え、その罪をシュラトに被せて討伐の命令を下す。ヴィシュヌの最後の力で遥か遠い地へ飛ばされたシュラトたちは、インドラを倒しヴィシュヌと天空界を救うために天空殿を目指して旅立つ。彼らの前に立ちはだかるのは、かつての仲間たち。そして、その中には「夜叉王」として転生し、シヴァの呪法で黒の光流をまとわされ残忍な性格に変わって、執拗にシュラトの命を狙うガイの姿もあった。時はサーマ暦9989年…。
