主人公の根島由佳吏は、16歳の誕生日を迎えた日に、決定された将来の結婚相手が伝えられる政府通知を受け取る。未来の妻となる真田莉々奈との結婚を前提とした交際がスタートした。しかし、由佳吏は誕生日の前日に小学生のころから好きだったことを告白し、共に両思いであることが判り、キスを交わした相手である高崎美咲が存在することを莉々奈に正直に話す。
