Overview

今から12年前。リムガルド王国で後に「リムガルド・フォール」と名付けられた事件が発生。世界各国から救助隊が派遣されるが、到着した彼らが見た物は動くもののいない無人の街だった。時は流れ現在。エナストリア皇国に住むユイとレナの二人の少女は、同じ家で暮らしながら平穏な日常生活を送っていた。 ある日、ケイという少女を見かけたレナは、埠頭に呼び出され、彼女の使いとして現れた男に勝負を挑まれる。男はレガリア・ギアと呼ぶロボットに搭乗し、レナも自分の姿をロボットに変身させた。彼女の正体は人間ではなく、「アレクト」という名前の「レガリア」のコアであった。男の攻撃に苦戦するレナだが、彼女を探してその場に現れたユイを自身に搭乗させ、怒涛の反撃で勝利を得る。 騒動終結後、エナストリア国民の前で記者会見を開いたユイ。彼女の本名は「ユインシエル・アステリア」。エナストリア皇国の若き女皇と彼女が守りたいと願う少女「レナ・アステリア」。二人の物語が始まる。
