Overview

The horror comedy manga begins one fateful day when the cowardly (unnamed) protagonist meets Mechako, the leader of the "Kaikigumi" organization which is in charge of the ghosts and supernatural creatures scaring humans. お化けを異常なまで怖がる主人公の男はある日「出る」という噂の路地に入り込んでしまうが、そこで出会ったのは「怪奇組」の組長を名乗る少女であった。恐怖心がなく、人を怖がらせることができない少女のもとで、怪奇組は弱体化し消滅寸前になっているという。少女は常人を超える恐怖心の持ち主である主人公の協力を得て怪奇組の復活を計画し、怪奇組の消滅で将来子どもたちがお化けを怖がらなくなることを妬んだ主人公もこれに協力することとなる。
