Overview

幼くして孤児となりながらも、人の役に立つため戦場で戦い続けた男、ディアス。隣国との戦争で大きな功績を挙げ、いつしか「救国の英雄」と呼ばれるまでになった彼は、国王から報酬として辺境の地ネッツロースを拝領する。しかし、現地に到着した彼が見たものは、領民はおろか住む家も食料もない、あまりにも広大な草原だった。 領主としてやっていくどころか、どうやって生きていけばいいかもわからず呆然とするディアスだったが、そこで彼は古くからこの地で暮らしてきた鬼人族の少女・アルナーに出会う。一族の長から世話係としてアルナーを貸し与えられた彼は、彼女との共同生活を送りつつ、兵士時代の戦友や自身の噂を聞きつけた人々らと共に「イルク村」を作り、領主としての第一歩を踏み出すのだが…。
