前原真樹は中学3年生の冬、両親の離婚により母親について隣の県へと引っ越すこととなった。金曜日はだいたい家で1人で過ごすことが多く、ゲームをしたり、映画を見たり、漫画を読んだり、出前でジャンクフードを食べたりすることが主な楽しみであった。県外から引っ越してきたばかりのため入学したばかりの高校では友人はいなかったが、とある金曜日の放課後に朝凪海と知り合い金曜日だけの交流が始まった。2人だけで家で遊ぶことは彼女への負担を避けるため公にしないように海に依頼し、海の親友である天海夕も含め、クラスメイトには秘密にしている。
