Overview
The 19th century — a world inhabited by vampires, golems, werewolves and other paranormal creatures. 明治30年、半人半鬼の青年真打津軽は見世物小屋に雇われ、怪物殺しの見世物を行っていた。津軽の前に鳥籠に入った生首の輪堂鴉夜と従者の馳井静句が現れる。不死の鴉夜は何者かに首から下を奪われていた。犯人は津軽を半人半鬼にした外国人と同一らしいと言う。 3人は「怪物専門の探偵」を名乗る“鳥籠使い”としてヨーロッパに渡り、吸血鬼、人狼など怪物がらみの事件を解決しながら、体を奪った真犯人を探す。
