Overview

架空の歴史をたどった長崎が舞台。薩摩藩士の繰馬雷蔵は陰謀により、その企てを知らぬまま許婚の父を殺した上、自分までも始末されそうになる。雷蔵を救ったのは、その間に出会っていた碓水幽烟たちの利便事屋（りべんごとや）。その実態は、力無き者が残した「恨噛み小判」の依頼を受けて復讐を請け負うREVENGER（りべんじや）であった。利便事屋が行う利便事（りべんじ）に協力し、薩摩藩の松峰を自身で打ち取るも生き場を失った雷蔵は、リーダーである碓水幽烟の誘いの元、その流れで利便事屋の仲間となる。やがて彼らは阿片密売を巡る長崎の暗部に立ち入ることになる。
