本田透は都立海原高校に通う女子高生。唯一の家族だった母親を事故で亡くし、小山で一人テント暮らしをしていた。ところがそのテントを張った場所は、同級生の草摩由希の一族が所有する土地だった。何とか交渉し敷地内でのテント暮らしを許可してもらおうとしていた時、土砂崩れでテントも失ってしまい、それがきっかけで由希が暮らす同じ一族の草摩紫呉の家に居候することに。 居候初日、透は草摩一族の秘密を知ってしまう。彼らは代々十二支の物の怪憑きで、異性に抱きつかれると憑かれた獣に変身してしまうという体質だった。
