私立伊旦高校1年生の古見硝子は登校初日で学校のマドンナの地位を築く「容姿端麗」「成績優秀」「スポーツ万能」な人気者だが、人と話すことを極度に苦手としている。入学初日、同級生の只野仁人は彼女の秘密を知ってしまうが、筆談をかわすうちに彼女の「友達を100人作る」という夢に協力することになる。一方、伊旦高校は県下有数の進学校という触れ込みだがアクの強い生徒ばかりが集まる学校であり、古見と只野が目標を達成するためには前途多難な日々が続くのだった。
