物語の舞台はAIやインターネットが普及した2045年の宇宙空間。新たにオープンする日本製の商業用ステーションで大規模な事故が発生してしまう。そこに取り残され、大人からの救助が望めない子供たちの命綱は、辛うじて生き残ったナローバンドとSNS、フリーアプリの低知能AIやスマートで操作できるドローンなど。これらを駆使し、仲間やAIの力を借りて生きるための行動を採る彼らは、史上最高知能に達したAIが語った恐るべき予言の「真意」にたどり着く。
