Synopsis 日本語

光の巨人ウルトラマンが地球を去ってから40年後の世界。かつて科学特捜隊に所属していた早田進は、一人息子の早田進次郎が生まれながらに特殊な力を秘めていることに苦悩していた。そんな折、早田は科特隊の同僚だった井手から謎の異星人の存在を知らされたことでウルトラマンと同化した過去を思い出し、自分と息子にウルトラマンの因子が受け継がれていることを知る。それから12年後。17歳となった進次郎は、謎の敵ベムラーに突然襲われたところを早田に助けられ、父がウルトラマンだった過去を知る。老齢ゆえに追い詰められた早田の危機に際し、進次郎は井手から与えられたウルトラマンスーツをまとい、辛くもベムラーを撤退させる。戦闘後、進次郎は地球に異星人が流れ込んできている現状を知り、早田に代わる新たなウルトラマンになることを要請される。かくして進次郎は、高校生として生活する裏で、地球側の抑止力としての活動を始める。
