2016年に首都圏に突如出現した巨大な繭のような形をした“フェノメノン”と呼ばれる謎の物体。その内側に取り込まれた人々はフェノメノンの住人、その世界の一部として振る舞うようになってしまう。放っておけばフェノメノンは拡大し範囲を広げてしまうため日本政府は、突発的に出現するフェノメノンを収束するべく行動した。フェノメノンに侵入しても正気を保つ、適正を持つ少女たちで構成された特別攻撃隊“トライナリー”を結成。彼女たちは、人の心の暴走が生み出すという“フェノメノン”の中に侵入し終息させるため、その世界を構成する“クラン”との戦いを繰り広げていく。
