Overview

Yotaro Hanafusa is a descendent of the “Knights of the World.” With the Knight’s Code of Chivalry hammered into him since childhood, Yotaro cannot stop himself from saving damsels in distress. He wears a mask, and is known on the street as “Knight Lancer” but he has always kept his identity a secret. While on an outing, Yotaro saves a 6-year-old girl, Makio Kidoin, the only child of a powerful business tycoon. When Yotaro discovers that Makio leads a lonely life in a huge estate, he resolves to protect her. He and his friends disguise themselves as lodgers and move into her mansion. 中世から続く伝統ある「現世騎士団」に所属していた騎士の末裔・花房葉太郎は「普通の暮らしがしたい」と生まれ育った本拠地の島を抜け、彷徨っていた。そんなある日、財閥令嬢の幼女・鬼堂院真緒の危機を見るや葉太郎は今ひとつの姿である仮面の騎士「ナイトランサー」に変身し、彼女を救い忠誠を誓う。憧れだった「自身を守るヒーロー」の出現に大喜びする真緒だが、この行動は葉太郎にしてみれば望まぬ「騎士道体質」のせいであり、しかも島からは教育係の朱藤依子、従騎士のアリス、愛馬の白姫も彼を追いかけて来ることに。かくして森羅（しんら）学園高等部に編入することになり、念願の「普通の高校生としての暮らし」を送るはずだった葉太郎だが学校ではその願いはなかなか叶わず、さらに葉太郎や真緒を狙う影が忍び寄るのであった。
