Synopsis 日本語

かつての戦乱の時代…。伝説の刀鍛冶「四季崎記紀」の作った千本の刀の所持数の多い軍ほど、優勢に戦を進められたという。尾張幕府により国が統一されはしたが、旧将軍は四季崎の刀を恐れ「刀狩」を行い、988本までも収集した。しかし、残り12本こそが、988本を試験台にした完成形変体刀であることが判明する。 …時は流れ、刀を使わない剣術「虚刀流」の七代目当主である鑢七花は、姉の七実と二人きりで、父六枝の流刑地、不承島で暮らしていた。しかしある日、変体刀の収集を幕府から命じられた奇策士とがめが、虚刀流六代目・六枝の力を借りるために訪れる。しかし六枝は既に死亡しており、とがめは現当主である七花に協力を求める。過去に真庭蝙蝠や錆白兵に裏切られた、とがめの「金や名誉のためでなく、私に惚れた、愛のために戦う剣士を雇いたい」との言葉から、七花はとがめのために完成形変体刀十二本を集める旅に出る。各地を巡る二人は、さまざまな人々と出会いトラブルに巻き込まれながらも、強大な力をもつ変体刀の所持者や、変体刀を狙う組織真庭忍軍らと戦っていく。
